Just bought a Nov`12 Golf 7 140 TSI DSG, and love it!OryxWhite, Discover Pro, Pano, 18"Durbans etc.. the whole lot!
But one problem:
Vibrations and "rumble" in car at certain RPM, like 1400-1500. When driving in congested traffic at 0-30km/the DSG tends to shift to gears very quickly up to 3-4 or even 5 or 6 in Comfort and Normal modes, bringing the RPM very low. This makes the
whole car suddenly vibrate rather violently, until I press accellerator or brake...

Also I can feel some vibration in short time between gear changes, I think it coul derived from switching both cluthes at the same time, because of the faded/overlapped mode...

Same vibrations on mine, also 1.4 TSI ACT DSG. Assembled 05.04.2013, now 3.000 km's done. I'm sure this effect was not noticeable on the first 1-2.000 km's... and I have this congested traffic every morning on the 1st 5-7 km's...

I experienced the same things you described (noticeable rumbling and vibrating) while running at 1400-1500rpm. I asked my VW dealer on return of the car and he said this is completely normal and you can't do anything about it...

I have tried Eco, Normal, Sport and Individual (with motor in Sport). The problem is somewhat less pronounced in Sport mode due to higher revs, but ECO and Normal (which I would prefer -economywise) show same tendencies - always keeping very low RPMs in the "problem area" around 1400 -1500 RPM. Going on a flat road or with very little accellerator pedal pressure, it jumps in and out of ECO/Zylindercut, so the vibrations and rumble come and go. Sehr unkomfortabel, and not acceptable.
We should all let VAG know about this problem with the ACT! Wish my car didn't have this feature...

I have the same vibrations at ACT mode. The Problem are more often on normal or comfort mode. I think this behavior was not at the beginning and not by the test car. I have tested especially the ACT mode and was surprised that there was almost no noteable switching to ATC mode. For me this vibrations are not acceptable...

I've already reported this problem on multiple threads. There are also ACT drivers who have no vibrations in the range up to 1500 rpm (E.g. city traffic at 50 straight line in the 5th or 6th gear in the two-cylinder mode)? If so, when were built the vehicles? From 1500 rpm I have no vibrations, say in highway cruising, I notice anything... I am however the vibrations, which are, from the start, that's why I do not think that there is a defect...

I also have 1.4 TSI ACT+DSG.
My observations:
- i have the same rattle/noise, usually around 1400 RPMs
- as far as I recall the rattle wasn't there when the car was new (during run-in in first 2000 km or more) or maybe it was so faint I ignored it (it wasn't irritating at that time)...

It was yesterday updated to latest Motor and DSG software, free of charge.
I am happy to say my problem is much improved!!! I am a happy man. Took a long test drive, cruising along at low revs using the cruise control on a quiet side road, and even though there is still some vibrations, my problem is much improved! It is now hardly noticeable in normal driving situations...

Ветка короткая, всего 2-е странички, но очень ёмкая, из одних фактов практически.
DSG-7(0CW) агрегирована у них с более современным движком и проблема вроде как проявляется именно в 2-х цилиндровом режиме (the rattle is noticeable in 2 cylinder mode, when the engine switches back to 4 cylinder mode, it looks as it disappears), но абсолютно все симптомы и рассмотренные способы решения наши, один в один.
В конечном итоге, топик-стартеру обновили одновременно ПО движка и коробки, и проблема утихла (even though there is still some vibrations, my problem is much improved).
Хорошо, что VAG идет по пути обновлений ПО, и не стал, как обычно бы ранее, менять сходу сцепление этому парню.
Когда же и мы дождемся обновления ПО для себя?
